The completed PaK38 platoon with 4 gun teams and a Command SMG team.
None of the teams are sealed yet because I still haven't bought a new spray-can of varnish.
I am not too happy how the bases turned out but they will do, maybe in the far future I will change them.
With this platoon finished I only have to paint 1 more platoon: The Artillery.
Hopefully I can go and pick up the box this weekend.
Thanks for looking.

The bases look fine to me... If I were going to change something, it would be to pick another colour for the edges... the yellow is a bit to vivid for my tastes.
ReplyDeleteThey look great.
ReplyDeleteNice looking platoon.
ReplyDeletebases are fine, the edges needs to be darker, like earth tone.
ReplyDeleteVery crisp and clean work...lovely sir.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
ReplyDeleteAbout the base edges. They have the same color as the base-color of the whole base, Vallejo Yellow Ochre. The reason they look so light and vivid is probably because of the white background. Giving the edges a darker earth tone is not an option. It is an army in the desert after all.
I personally think your bases look very nice and in fact the whole platoon looks very nice! The guns and the base color blend really well together.
ReplyDeleteIn regards to the base edges it depends where your fighting in the desert. If your in the dunes then as light as possible would work, but in the rockier areas perhaps a slight bit darker. I've done some in base sand and light brown and think both work. Yours look convincing and of course have to please the most important critic.....you.:-)
Looking forward to seeing more!

Ziet er goed uit, AV. Bases doen me denken aan je Alchemisten - ah, nostalgia ;-)
ReplyDelete@Piar Hmm That's strange these have an other base color then my Alchemist of Dirz have. ;-)
