Battlegroup: Panzer IV ausf. H.

Miniatures painted between August 2017 and end 2018 part 5 final.
The Panzer IV ausf. H. Battlefront 15mm resin, metal and plastic.
I glued these together somewhere in 2017 but after that they ended up in a box until December 2018.
The built of these miniatures was a real hell and time consuming. It was not the tanks but adding the schürzen that gave the problems. First I had glue some tiny holders to the hull to which the schürzen would be glued. When I finally had the schürzen glued in place I found out that it wasn't very sturdy and stable. When picking up a model I had to be careful else the schürzen would break off. To solve this problem I made some plastic rods witch I carefully glued between the tracks and the schürzen plates, in such way that they can't be seen. This gave them much more sturdynes and now I can pick them up without breaking off the schürzen. All in all it took me several days to built these four tanks.
Halfway December 2018 I finally took them out of the box and gave them some paint. Using the same colours and camo pattern as the other late war tanks I painted so far. The result can be seen below.

This is the last post of Miniatures painted between August 2017 and end 2018. From now on all new posts with painted miniatures are newly painted or finished WIP projects.
After these were painted I carefully started to think of restarting my blog to show my painted miniatures. Which in the end still took more than a month to do.

Thanks for reading/looking!
