Corps Armored Field Artillery Battery

The Corps Armored Field Artillery Battery is finished and these are the results.
First a list of the problems I faced.
- The mini that operates the Machine gun on the Priest doesn't fit well.
- The 2 minis that are operating the main gun on the Priests had to be pinned. The only base to glue them are there feet.
- The driver and machine gun operator of the M2 Half-track didn't fit at all. Had to come up with all kind of tricks to make them fit.
- The M4 Sherman. This one had a lot of flash on both the hull and tracks that i had to remove first.

On to the pictures.

  2. Fabulous work once again Hein, love the attention to detail especially the tiny map. I hope Battlefront/FOW people aren't beginning to produce poor quality miniatures, ie excessive flash and poor moulding.

  3. @ Les. Maybe some day in the future i will add the other 3 but because the platoon is for my US Airborne 3 Priest is enough for the moment.

@Guidowg. The poor quality is probably because this was an older model. It came with metal tracks, metal main gun and metal .50cal AA MG. Nowadays these are all made out of plastic. I did replace the main gun and .50cal AA MG with plastic ones on this model.

  5. To be honest the map ain't painted. It is a map of Normandy scaled down to right size and then printed on paper.

  6. I like the metal models to some degree. When it comes to the 50 cals and tank barrels I prefer the plastic so no bending results ....
